Khan/Koller Review
Khan Academy- My husband first introduced me to the Khan Academy
about a year and half of ago. My son was having trouble understanding his math homework
and I am clueless when it comes to explaining it. My husband who at that time
was stationed in Richmond VA told him to go to YouTube and watch a video called
Khan Academy and it will help him out. I fell in love with the Khan academy website
since then. I use it for my son who is in the seventh grade and it is
definitely something I would use for my self. My students will be like my
children I want the same things that I would want for my kids for my students.
When I’m asked the question of weather I would use Khan Academy for my students
my answer is, Yes I could not imagine myself not giving my students 110% effort
on their giving them the best education public schools can offer so I would definitely
recommend for all my future students. After looking through this website I found it to be easy to
follow and learn from. I agree with Salman Khan about how the future will
rely more on Credentials. Because all employee are more interested in where you
went to school then what you qualified for.

Coursera Online classes--There are so many classes that are interesting
on Coursera website. The one that interest me the most is “Imagining other
earths.” Course offers a lot of classes from all different universities and
colleges but their credits are not accepted in Columbus State Community College
nor do they honor it. I don’t think classes on Coursera are more interesting
than classes at Columbus State College. All online courses are the same to me
the only thing is that classes from courser are offered from different
high-ranking universities. Who is teaching classes on Coursera online is a
big factor on how interesting the classes are. And MOOC’s were to become
popular there would be no need for teachers anymore all classes would be
preprogrammed and taught by computers.
