My Prezi
I wrote my prezi for whomever visits my blog to see the reason behind my interest in education. My prezi will be a place where my potential employers and parents go to, to know little more about me. My reason for becoming a teacher and also my philosophy. I believe that when you give a child the confidence and skill they need to conquer what the future hold than you as a teacher did your job. I plan on adding onto my prezi as I climb up the ladder in my journey to becoming a teacher.
This was my first time using prezi. It was easy to create and to see the different types of templet that was provided. I was without any complications able to post videos and pictures. I played around with the different kinds of fonts and choose the ones i like the most. The only problem I encountered with prezi was when it came to embedding the presentation into my blog, it wouldn't show on the screen until I published it. Other then that little confusion it was a breeze.

Three great teacher post
My first blog on this title was accidentally deleted. If you have read my first post great, here is another for you to enjoy, if not hope you enjoy it.

I choose this blog because it is very organized and is frequently updated. This blogger's name is Cara Caroll she is a teacher in Texas and she has been teaching for the past 12 years. During those 12yrs. she moved between grades kindergarten, first and second grade. One of the first things that grab your attention is how colorful her home page is. In her blog page at the top are tabs that will take you to different pages. One of the tab is called "Peek in my room" in that tab are pictures of how her classroom is set up. She also has the daily schedule and the classroom rules on the wall. This allows the student to be aware and know what is next on the agenda. This is a great way to remind the students the rules of the classroom.

This bloggers name is Faith. She is a first grade teacher who has been teaching for 12 years. The love and passion she has for teaching the first grade shows in her blog. What i find every interesting is one of the tabs on her page which is the "Five for Fridays." This is a weekly update of what she did in her classroom. She always updates it on every Friday, it includes pictures of the activities that her students did for that week. She also has pictures of the students doing these activities. This is a great blog to get ideas for a first time teacher.

What attracted me to this blog is that it talks about what every first grade and kindergarten teachers dread, "Restroom breaks." In Jodi's blog she has found and created a fun and easy for the students to transition into bathroom breaks. She Incorporated extra learning time into the restroom break, right next to the classroom is a bulletin board that she put up for the kids to practice and learn while in line. On that board she has posted for example; words to know, math facts and vocabulary. These are great ways for students who are a bit behind to get a little extra learning time. Her blog is updated weekly and is very organized.

Get to know me.
Hello everyone,
My name is Ramla Ali; I am an instructional aid at Horizon Science
Academy Elementary. I am currently going to school at Columbus State Community
College here in Ohio. I am working on getting my associate in Early Childhood
Education and I plan on transferring to Otterbein University to finish out my
bachelor get a teaching license.
I am a mother of four children ages from
12 yrs. to 22 months so on my free time when I am not running to or from
basketball practice or choir rehearsal, I like to sit and cuddle with a good
novel to read and drink tea.
Coming from another country and having to
learn how to speak English, I know how difficult it is for immigrant students.
Where I am currently employed the demographic is mostly immigrants. My plan is
to make those children want to learn and get them excited in wanting to learn
the language so they can succeed in this country. When I first came to America
I was 9 years old I did not speak one word of English. Coming to a new country
was scary enough so when you add not being able to speak their language was
petrify in more ways them imaginable. There was a teacher by the name of Mrs.
Mathis she was my language arts teacher she always drew pictures to get me to
understand what she was teaching. To this day it amazes me to think back to
those days when I was new to this language and someone would say to me
"Thank You" I replied "Every Much" not knowing it was the
wrong reply. What Mrs. Mathis did was with out making me feel any less or
incompetent she corrected me and would come out of her way to help me want to
learn, and to get her approval I always did my best to please her. Just like
Mrs. Mathis I want to make my students want to learn and make the first year
experience one they will never forget...24 years later I still remember my
first experience.
