Ohio DL School
Connection Academy: This website is very clear to understand and you can navigate through it a lot easier. You feel like you are getting the information firsthand the FAQ has more tabs within it and is very informative.
ECOT: I know this distant learning school is very popular lately but there website is not clear. There are a lot of tabs that are not big enough and can not see. The page has more testimonials the curriculum information.
Ohio Virtual Academy: This website is easy to understand and very clear to navigate through. The tabs are big enough for you to recognize and click on. The page is easy to find deadlines and learn more about the curriculum and school environment the tabs for the FAQ has lots of info and is categorized.
Virtual Community school of Ohio: This distant learning website page is easy to understand but does not give a lot of information. The look of it is not that appealing and there are no frequently asked questions page on their site.
Virtual School House: This distant learning school's website has a lot of advertisement on their page. The name is too small to recognize it does not look or feel like you are on a school website it's more of a statistic page. There is no FAQ page on the site.
After viewing all of the different kinds of distant learning schools I like Ohio virtual Academy. Their website page is easy to navigate and feels like as if you are taking a tour in their building. I like how there is phone number for an enrollment consultant on the top left-hand side of their page with an option to get a call back during after hours. I would definitely choose this distant learning school for my children.
I would not pick virtual schoolhouse it felt as if I did not get any information it does not talk about the curriculum or the school environment I would not take the school for my children.

Blog evaluation.
The name of the blog i have evaluated is called Karen List's teaching blog. Here is an active link to it: http://karendlisteducator.blogspot.com/
Her blog looks very professional it is definitely suited for the intended audience. There is nothing that is too distracting on Karen's blog and it is pleasing to the eyes. I like the background she has chosen and her Voki is in the right place.
There are no repeats on Karen's blog it is very easy to navigate through it and her blog follows the assignment as it is on the blackboard.
All the punctuation spelling and grammar are correct.
It definitely shows that Karen put the time and effort into her blog. The only suggestion i would have for her is to add a little bit more color to her post. But other then that the overall look is great! Nice job Karen.

Assistive technology for students with autism
Discover MyVoice in action
The disability I have
chosen is autism. Autistic children are diagnosed by the age of three. Autism is a Neurodevelopmental condition;
children with autism are delayed in speech development and are less social than
non-autistic children. Children often have difficulty learning and struggle
with the limited language and are not able to communicate with their teachers.
With the lack of communication they are prone to be more aggressive towards
their peers and are considered a behavioral problem in most classroom settings.
One of the assistive
technologies that are used for children with autistic is called “My Voice” my
voice is a communication aid to help nonverbal and low cognitive children
communicate their needs and desire with their caregivers. My voice is an app
designed for iPad, iPhone and android. This device has pictures of real life
people and items that describe what the child needs and it is combined with
words and phrases that are tailored for the individual child.
Another one of the assistive
technology devices that are available to children with autism is from the
center of argumentative and alternative communication (AAC) this device allows
the child to communicate. ACC has gestures, sign language, pictures symbols and
speech generating device. Language acquisition through motor planning (LAMP) is
a therapeutic approach for children with limited verbal ability; it gives them
a way to express themselves in a classroom setting. This gives children with
behavioral problems a way to get their words across. Visual representation is
always a great way to help children with autism this allows the child to
understand what’s happening next and where they’re going making the transition
more smoothly. These visuals can be an object, photograph, realistic drawing,
line drawing and hand written words.
These assistive technology have
come a long way and are great way for a child and teacher to be less frustrated
with each other. We are more and more ever then before working on improving all
the different kinds of AT in our country. According to Light & Drager
(2002) Assistive Technology has more potential to improve a child’s
communication skills. In the near future the ACC technology is working on being
redesigned to increase the appeal expand their function and reduce their
language demands.

My PicMonkey
I love this website!!! It was very interesting to see all the different kinds of options we to choose from.
most of the options we had to be a member to use it, but there were enough one to use for editing our photo.
My favorite ones were the make-ups and the weight loss options. I got a little carried away with the fireworks but I love the end result of my photo. This looks like a website that I will be adding to my favorites so I can go back to it and use again and again.
My GoAnimate
Professor Jamal's class by Laley25 on GoAnimate
My GoAnimate is about a science teacher name Mr. Jamal and he is introducing himself to one of his students. The student name is Aliah and is excited about being in his science class. Aliah's favorite subject is science so she talks to Mr. Jamal about what she wants to learn and what she already knows. It was pretty easy to make video. When my 8 and 6 year old saw what I was doing they wanted me to use their names. Not only did I have fun in creating this post my children also enjoyed hearing they’re name on the video.
